Slow Evening Reset
Tonight is about landing back in the same room together after a long day.
Use this card as a gentle reset from “doing” into “being” with each other.
Sit side by side or close together.
Take 3 slow breaths in sync – in through the nose, out through the mouth.
Then, take turns answering three sentences out loud:
“One thing that went well for me today was…”
“One thing that was hard for me today was…”
“Right now, I need…”
The listening partner does not fix, explain, or compare. They simply say, “Thank you for sharing,” and, if it feels good, offer a small touch (hand on shoulder, squeeze of the hand).
When both of you have shared, end with one short sentence each:
“Tonight, I want you to know…”
Debrief prompts
- What did I notice in my body as we slowed down together?
- Did I learn something new about my partner’s day?
- Was it hard to name what I needed? Why or why not?
- How did it feel to be listened to without advice or solutions?
- What part of this ritual do I want to keep doing this week?
