Weekly Ritual Design

This card is for designing a small weekly ritual that keeps you anchored.

Together, discuss:

“If we had a 20–30 minute weekly ritual just for us, what would we want it to give us? (calm, fun, planning, intimacy?)”

“What day/time feels most realistic, not idealized?”

“What simple structure could it have?”

Example: 5 minutes check-in, 10 minutes activity (walk, game, planning), 5 minutes appreciation.

Write down your chosen ritual in a shared note or on paper.
Give it a name (e.g., “Sunday Slow Down,” “Tea & Tidy Talk,” “Wednesday Wonder Walk”).

End tonight by doing a mini version of that ritual (even 5 minutes) so it already exists in your body, not just in your head.

Debrief prompts
  • What feeling do I most want our weekly ritual to create?
  • Did we choose something realistic or something that might overwhelm us?
  • How did it feel to name and commit to something “just for us”?
  • What might get in the way of keeping this ritual, and how can we protect it?
  • How did the mini version tonight feel in my body and mood?
