When I Feel Loved
This card clarifies your personal “love languages” in a concrete way.
Each person completes these sentences while the other listens:
“I feel loved when you…”
“I feel especially cared for when you say…”
“I feel close to you when we…”
“A small thing that makes me feel distant is…”
“A tiny thing that would make a big difference is…”
No debating or defending – you are both just mapping each other’s “love manual.”
At the end, each of you chooses one small thing from your partner’s list to try this week.
Debrief prompts
- Which sentence was easiest for me to complete? Hardest?
- Did anything surprise me about what makes my partner feel distant?
- How did it feel to say out loud, “I feel loved when…”?
- Do my daily habits line up with what my partner actually needs?
- What reminder can I put in place to practice their “tiny big thing”?
